We are walking leaders from YMCA East Surrey and running coaches and leaders from Reigate Priory Athletic Club. Each Saturday morning we provide walking and running activities starting at 10:30AM from a park bench in front of Reigate Priory, all for the wellbeing of our participants. Everyone is very welcome to attend our sessions which are a route to getting fitter and healthier and as well as a great way to meet people, and if you'd like to join us we visit a local café afterwards.

If you want to get fitter and healthier, run socially with others or feel better in yourself, then perhaps this is for you. Whatever your motivation, we are running a Couch to 5K training programme designed for beginners, to progressively build up running ability so that you can run 5Km without stopping by the end of the 9 week course. There is a schedule that you will receive with three activities per week, starting with gentle walk / run exercise, and ending with continuous running. The course is lead by Reigate Priory AC coaches and leaders who are England Athletics qualified. The total cost for up-to 12 sessions is just £17. Please do not be concerned about the pace of running. There is no expectation or judgement, and our participants surprise themselves with what they can achieve. We start programmes in January and in September, and our next programme starts on Saturday 27th September 2025 with two optional but recommended lead-in sessions on the previous Saturdays - the 13th and the 20th of September.
